Leeds Arts University

The only specialist arts university in the north of England, Leeds Arts University is where the likes of Damien Hirst, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Omar Kashoura all studied. They offer degrees, masters courses and further education, with courses ranging from Comic & Concept Art to Fashion Design, Filmmaking and Popular Music Performance.

It was named the fifth-best place in the UK to study art in the 2018 Guardian Education League Table, and was named top for Design & Crafts. With a high staff-student ratio and only 1,400 studying there, it offers highly attentive teaching and a real community feel. 91% of final year students said they were satisfied with the overall quality of their course.

With the city home to art institutions like the Henry Moore Institute and the Leeds Art Gallery and forming the heart of the Yorkshire Sculpture Triangle, it’s full of inspiration for those studying in the field.
