7 student essentials to bring to iQ
Getting ready for your year of bests with iQ? Packing the essentials is a good place to start. You’ll probably remember the obvious things like clothes and your fave hobby equipment (VR headset anyone?), but there are often a few easy-to-forget items that can make a big difference in settling in. We’re here to help, with a list of those must-haves for move in.
Bedding
We provide the mattress, you just need to bring the bedding sets! Be sure to double check the size of your bed before purchasing anything, in case its too big! If in doubt, you can ask your iQ team via email or on the iQ app.
Home comforts
For some people this could be your childhood teddy bear, your whole Jellycat collection, or some pictures of your loved ones. Whatever it is, bringing something from home will help your homesickness, especially if you’re coming from overseas.
If you arrive at iQ and realise Mr Stuffings was left behind your family can post him to you. iQ has a parcel concierge service, meaning he’ll be safely snuggled up in our parcel room for you to collect him.
Air Fryer
For those nights when you’ve got 10 minutes between class and sports night, your air fryer will come in clutch, we promise.
Induction hob pans
This is our biggest top tip to dive right into iQ life. We only have induction hobs across our iQ locations, meaning you’ll need to get certain pans. But, no need to stress – we’ve got a list for you:

Extension cord
