A Guide to Greenwich

Enjoy endless activities at The O2 

From bars, restaurants and coffee spots, to concerts, shopping and fun activities. The O2 Arena is every student’s social dream. With a variety of choices to make, you'll never have a dull moment in the famous dome. Only a 2-minute walk away from Ravensbourne University, you could find yourself axe-throwing in between classes or catching a movie after a 2 o'clock finish. 

Capture skyline scenes on the London Cable Cars 

If you want the perfect view overlooking London, enjoy a visit to the London Cable Cars. The gondola line crosses the Thames from the Greenwich Peninsula and takes you to the Royal Victoria Dock, where you can indulge in a pizza or two at the few eateries overlooking the Thames. A round trip costs £10 and with that breath-taking view, it’s worth every penny. 

Every season is Greenwich Park season  

With the recent heatwave, summer picnics with friends, fresh fruit, and ice cream seem to be the go-to vibe. Or maybe you’re more of an autumn walk with a coffee in hand, stomping on crunchy leaves kind of person. Either way, the endless acres of open greenery are fit for every season and only a short walk from iQ Flinders House.  

Delicious food and historic views by The Cutty Sark 

If that wasn’t enough, why not explore the historic landmark that is The Cutty Sark, right in the heart of Greenwich. Treat yourself to some tickets and visit the inside of the ship or simply admire the outside, both are definitely Instagrammable. Once your sightseeing ventures are complete it’s only right you indulge in the tasty food made fresh at Greenwich market.  

Brew and banter at Up the Creek Comedy Club 

If you’re always up for a laugh and potentially awkward silences, we would highly recommend visiting Up the Creek Comedy Club. Home to their freshly brewed beer and regular comedy nights, it’s a must have for comedy fans. To top it all off, audience members can get involved every Thursdays to judge the amateur stand-up. 

Did somebody say Tiger Woods?  

Whether you’re a pro or an amateur, the Greenwich Peninsula Golf Range has the best views and vibes for an evening out. You can choose from adventure golf to your own bay shooting out on the range. Top tip: book an evening slot for the best sunset views overlooking the city lights in Canary Wharf.
