Be at One – 2 minute walk
Be at One is a cocktail bar popular amongst the residents of iQ Alice House. Its close location means they can pop in for a chilled evening in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They even offer mixing masterclasses where you can learn how to become a useful mixologist.
O2 Academy - 10 minute walk
This venue is a city icon, located on Cowley Road. A landmark of Oxford's entertainment scene, its two venues host the best live music, club events and local talent in the city.
Bridge Night Club – 15 minute walk
Bridge is one of the biggest late-night clubs in the city. It has an incredible lounge bar, in which there’s always a lively crowd. They organise student nights quite often, so it's a great place to dance and meet new people.
Ashmolean Museum - 15 minute walk
The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford’s Museum of Art and Archaeology, so if you're interested in the world’s great civilisations, this is the place to be. Its collections are extraordinarily diverse and getting lost in its corridors can be a great stress killer, especially during exam periods.
Bodleian Library – 15 minute walk
The Bodleian Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford, and one of the oldest libraries in Europe. With over 12 million items, it’s the second-largest library in the UK, after the British Library. If you need to do some research for your assignments’ bibliography, forget about Wikipedia – you will find all you need in here, and it’s beautiful too!
Oxford Ice Rink – 20 minute walk
One of the most fun plans you can make in Oxford is ice skating. Oxford Ice Rink venue is open all year, so there's no excuse not to come and have some fun. It also has a cosy café, perfect in case you prefer to enjoy the experience from afar.
La Cucina – 1 minute walk
Just on the doorstep of Alice House, you will find this incredible Italian restaurant. You can truly enjoy an Italian experience at a reasonable price, whether it’s a meal or just a coffee.
CuttleFish – 1 minute walk
If you like fish, you cannot miss this place that is just next door to our building. They bring the freshest products from the shore straight to the table, and the venue has a friendly vibe.
Angel & Greyhound Pub – 1 minute walk
This pub is the perfect spot to grab a couple of drinks and enjoy the surroundings while creating new memories. It’s also got a patio garden which is ideal when it’s sunny.
Café Coco - 5 minute walk
Just a few minutes away from iQ, you will find this cosy and warm café where you can gather with your friends for a relaxed Sunday evening. With vintage posters on the walls and incredible pastries, you'll want to stay forever.
Clarendon Centre – 10 minute walk
This shopping centre is located in the heart of Oxford. The archaeological areas of its surroundings make this shopping centre one of the more unusual ones. You will find stores like H&M, French Connection and Zara here.
Covered Market – 15 minute walk
Located in the city centre, the Covered Market is an historic market with permanent stalls, shops and cafés under a large covered structure. No one coming to Oxford should miss a visit.
Bicester Village – 47 minute train
This well-known designer outlet offers a massive range of brands at discounted prices. You'll find Michael Kors, Lululemon, AllSaints, Stella McCartney and around 150 more stores, as well as some cool places to eat, including regular pop-ups.
Alice House is a few minutes’ walk from both Oxford Brookes University and The University of Oxford. If you’re studying at St Hilda’s College, Magdalene College, Oriel or The Queen’s College, they're only a 10-minute walk away.
There is a wide range of buses available outside our door, such as Oxford Tube and X90, which will take you straight to London in 1.5 hours.
You can easily get to the city centre via routes 8, 9, 400, 13, X13 and 280, with the bus stop just 2 minutes’ walk from iQ Alice House.
