Year 3 of the iQ Thrive Academy

The iQ Thrive Academy has been an initiative our team has been really proud of, and we're really pleased to now be launching into our third year of the programme in partnership with upReach. 

As part of our launch, we brought together our associates, mentors and upReach champions at iQ Signal Place in Nottingham on 12th February to kick off our programme of skills workshops and networking opportunities. 

With icebreakers, a careers workshop and a panel on how some of our iQers got to where they are in their careers, there was plenty of space and time for our associates to find inspiration. 

Awarded Social Initiative of the Year at the Property Week Student Accommodation Awards in 2023, the programme has continued to grow. Starting out with supporting 40 students in their career journeys, we're now supporting 80 students from across the UK to maximise their chances at getting some of the best graduate jobs out there. We're also providing 20 1-to-1 mentorship opportunities with iQ employees and providing 20 students with free accommodation for the year. This Summer, we're offering 9 internship opportunities to associates too, to give them the experience and confidence they need to move forward with their careers. 

What is the iQ Thrive Academy?  

The iQ Thrive Academy, in partnership with upReach, is our way of supporting social mobility for students. It’s a 3-year programme designed around giving students the skills and experience they need for the best possible start to their careers. The programme includes mentoring, networking and internship opportunities plus access to iQ spaces for the right place to study.
