It’s Pride Month, so we're sharing where you can find your local LGBTQIA+ scene. Whether you’re after a new restaurant, café or some buzzy nightlife, the UK offers some brilliant options. We’ve compiled a few queer-friendly city spots below:

The Leeds LGBTQIA+ scene is buzzing, with venues ranging from bars to bookshops in The Freedom Quarter – around Lower Briggate and The Calls.
Check out the Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre for support and events, or try nightlife spots like The Dover Castle.

The capital is known for being one of the most welcoming and inclusive cities in the world. It offers a wide selection of queer-friendly bars, pubs and clubs. Some of the best are found in Soho, an easily walkable area that’s rich in LGBTQIA+ history. Vauxhall, Clapham and East London also have their own queer scenes. London’s Queer Britain museum is the UK’s first national LGBTQIA+ museum, and London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an excellent support hub.
Manchester’s Gay Village centres around Canal Street, next to the Rochdale Canal. With lots of queer-friendly venues, from bars and clubs to restaurants, it’s a vibrant and welcoming place.

Around Bretonside and Vauxhall Street is Plymouth’s smaller but still bustling LGBTQIA+ area. Try OMG Plymouth for clubbing and drag events, or The Swallow Showbar for cosy shows.
While Preston doesn’t have explicitly LGBTQIA+ venues, events like drag nights take place at various spots in the city. Lancashire LGBT charity also offers opportunities to meet up and find social support.
