Meet the Team: iQ Sterling Court, London

iQ life London

iQ’s base in north west London, Sterling Court is just down the road from the capital’s most famous sports venue, Wembley Stadium, and the adjacent SSE Arena. Ideal for those students who prefer to live further out of central London and travel in to university, it’s a short walk from Metropolitan Tube line. There’s also a huge shopping mall about 30 seconds away – the shopaholic’s dream home!

Our residents have the use of a large lounge and outdoor courtyard, and – of course – our team are always on hand to help. So, who’s who at Sterling Court? Let’s Meet the Team and check out the score in Zone 4.

Hey, it’s Răzvan!

My name is Răzvan. I am the Assistant Manager at iQ Sterling Court.

What makes Sterling Court a special place to live?

We’re located near Wembley Park, next to the London Designer Outlet and Wembley Arena. Sterling Court is a great place to live as there’s always something happening and the staff here do their best to make it a worthwhile place to live for all the residents.

What are your favourite places to go near Sterling Court?

I enjoy walking around Wembley because it’s so vibrant and full of life. I’ve been to the London Designer Outlet and met lots of people who work around the area. During my breaks I enjoy going to Wenzel’s bakery and speaking with the staff there about the day. Any time there’s an event at Wembley you’re also bound to spot a celebrity which is quite exciting.

What’s the nicest thing a resident has said to you?

‘’You’re the reason I chose to stay here. Thank you for being so nice all the time.’’

Razvan

What about your iQ are you most proud of?

iQ takes care of its staff and pushes them to achieve their personal best. It does not discard people when they are tired or at their lowest. It makes me proud to work for a company that takes care of its own.

What’s your favourite band/ TV show/ movie?

It’s very difficult to decide on a favourite band or singer but I’d have to say I listen a lot to Frank Sinatra. My current favourite TV show is BoJack Horseman. My all-time favourite movie is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

What’s your best memory of the last year at iQ?

Meeting different people, ensuring a spot for those in need and having it all culminate on check-in day, where they come to thank you and appreciate your efforts.

Where is the best place you have travelled to recently?

Marne-la-Vallée, France. The location of Disneyland.

If you could give your younger self some advice about student life, what would it be?

It’s never too late to be the person you want to be. You need to choose the life you want.
