We know what students want. We’ve asked thousands of you across the UK and beyond so that we can give you the things you need for the student life that’s right for you.
Here are some of the ways iQ helps you to get the best out of your uni experience.
Close to uni locations
With over 70 buildings across 29 UK towns and cities, you’re never far from the action. The majority of our sites are in city centre locations that give you an easy journey to uni and plenty to do when you’re not studying.
You can get to plenty of unis with just a short walk from your room, making early alarms a thing of the past. iQ Brighton is just a 2-minute walk to the Uni of Brighton’s Moulsecoomb campus while iQ Bloomsbury is a 4-minute walk to UCL and a 9-minute walk to SOAS, for example.
When uni is a bit further out, you’ll have great transport links close by so you’re still making the most of the time you have at uni.
Our great locations mean you're also close to all the services and amenities you'll need, including grocery stores, pharmacies, hospitals and more. We've put together mini guides to each of our iQ locations, so you can easily find all the closest spots around you for your convenience.
A safe space to come home to
When you move to iQ, it becomes your home, and you should always feel safe at home. We have 24/7 security at all sites, with CCTV and a friendly face to welcome you home at all hours. Our safe entry point systems mean only residents and the right guests can come in, so you can relax in our spaces with peace of mind.
Everything you need in your room
Whether you choose an en suite, studio or apartment, your room will come ready made with the things you need to relax and study. When you move in, you'll have your own comfy bed, lots of storage and a study desk and chair to get your best work done. It's then down to you to make the room feel like your own, whether that mans fluffy sheets, some shiny desk accessories or tonnes of postcards on your pinboard.
Your own private bathroom
We know that your privacy matters. Almost all of our rooms have en suites, so you never have to wait for the shower. If you choose an en suite room, you’ll have your own bathroom but a shared kitchen, so you can still make the most of a social buzz with your mates. For full independence, a studio will give you a bed, bathroom and kitchen all to yourself.
In some cases – iQ Stephenson House and iQ Knight House, iQ The Arcade - clusters of flats will share bathrooms. These are great-value options that still give you your own private room with an extra chance to be social.
Great value, with bills included
Whether you want your own private studio for full independence, or all the essentials with some shared spaces, we've got lots of options to suit you and your budget.
Nobody likes bills. We include them as part of your rent so you don’t have to worry about them and it's easier to budget your money. That includes your energy, water and superfast wifi so that you can stay connected when you need to. You’ll know exactly what you’ll have to pay upfront thanks to our fixed rent, so you won’t need to worry about price changes and surprising bills.
With close to uni locations, onsite spaces to study in and socials too, you get a lot more for your money than at other kinds of student housing. That means you get better value than if you choose to live in uni halls or private accommodation.
Onsite shared spaces
You know the feeling. You want to hang out with your mates but you don’t want to get dressed up and journey out. With onsite social spaces, you never have to go far to let off steam. From study lounges and cinema rooms to roof terraces and even climbing walls, there’s a space for everyone to feel at home. We even have onsite gyms, so you can keep on building on your best self.
Our onsite spaces also make it super easy to meet other students. We know that people is what makes a place to remember, so we've designed spaces at out iQ locations to make socialising the natural thing to do. If you really want to dive in, our rooms with shared kitchens mean that there's always a friendly face just around the corner. There's no better way to bond than over a cooking session and some good food.
