If you need a place to stay short-term – perhaps while undertaking a short language course, some professional training or similar – our Semester Stays could be the answer.

Short-term stays in student accommodation

Available in several of our cities around the UK, Semester Stays allow you to book your accommodation on a termly basis. It’s possible to move in with us at any point throughout the term, subject to availability, so this is very useful for those studying a course which lasts just a few weeks or months.

All the benefits

You can also enjoy all the social areas that our year-round student residents do, which can include a gym, cinema, TV and games lounges – check out the site that interests you to see what they have. There are also facilities like an onsite laundry, parcel collection and free WiFi – all useful when you’re away from home for an extended period.

It also offers something that most other accommodation doesn’t, which is something money can’t buy. Living at iQ can be as social as you want it to be, and our international student communities can introduce you to interesting new people from all over the world. There will always be social events happening on site, providing a great opportunity to get to know each other.

When can I stay?

Short-term stays may be possible during all the academic terms of the year, but there will be limited availability, so it makes sense to book up as far in advance as possible if you know your plans. Many iQ sites also offer short stays during the summer break too, so we may be able to help you even if your studies fall outside term-time.
