Definitions:

The following capitalised terms have the following meaning when used in these terms and conditions: 

• Academic Year: the 2024/25 academic year, commencing 01/09/2024 and ending on 28/08/2025
• Entry Form: A correctly submitted Microsoft form (available here: Win your Best Birthday Yet with iQ) with all fields accurately and fully completed.
• Entry Period: The Competition begins at 00:00 on 05/12/2024 and ends at 23:59 on 28/02/2025.
• IQ Group: IQSA Holdco Limited, IQSA 2 Holdco Limited and their respective subsidiaries.
• IQ Property: a property managed by IQSA Services Limited.
• IQ Resident: a tenant at an IQ Property for the Academic Year. 
• The Competition: A chance to win a birthday party hosted at an iQ Property of Your choosing and the winner will receive a total budget of up to £5,000 for their “Best Birthday Yet”. The budget will be used as stated below: 
  • Up to £3,000 travel cost
  • Up to £1,000 for catering
  • Up to £1,000 for miscellaneous:
    • Decorations;
    • Hair & makeup;
    • Costumes
• Us or We: IQSA Services Limited acting as property manager of the IQ Properties.
• You: The entrant of the Competition and an iQ Resident. 

 

1. Eligibility Criteria:
   1. Be an IQ Resident;
   2. Have been nominated by a fellow iQ Resident or nominated Yourself;
   3. Have paid all fees and charges due on Your account with Us on the date the prize is drawn (7th march 2025)
   4. Have correctly submitted the Entry Form within the Entry Period with all fields accurately and fully completed;
   5. If You win, agree to be filmed/photographed and to make Yourself available for a full-day shoot when You choose to claim Your prize, and agree for any captured content to be posted online via Our social channels.
2. The prize:
   1. Up to £3,000 travel cost
   2. Up to £1,000 for catering
   3. Up to £1,000 for miscellaneous:
      1. Decorations;
      2. Hair & makeup;
      3. Costumes
3. Conditions:
   1. By entering the Competition, You consent to Us using Your personal data for the purposes of administering the Competition in accordance with our Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice | iQ Student Accommodation) and UK data protection legislation. You agree to the use of Your name in any publicity material.
   2. By entering, You’ll also be included in the iQ’s Birthday Club:

   3. By entering the Competition, You consent that if You win a prize, You may be filmed/photographed and that You will make Yourself available for a full-day shoot when You choose to claim Your prize, and for any captured content to be posted online via Our social channels.
   4. The Competition is subject to availability and We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to withdraw, modify or substitute the Offer for another with different terms at any time and without notice during this promotion.
   5. The Competition will be open for the duration of the Entry Period only.
   6. We reserve the right to cancel, amend, terminate, or temporarily suspend this Competition at any time with no liability to You or any third party. We will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from participation in the Competition. 
   7. These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in England. 
   8. Insofar as is permitted by law, We, Our agents and/or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize or in relation to the provision of goods and/or services by any third party in connect to the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Us, Our agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
4. To be eligible to win a Prize, You must:
5. The winner will receive a total budget of up to £5,000 to be put towards a birthday party hosted at an iQ Property of the winner’s choosing for their “Best Birthday Yet”. The budget will be used as stated below: 
6. The birthday party will be hosted at an iQ Property of the winner’s choosing and must be held on a date to be agreed with us during the acadmeic year 2024/25 unless there are extenuating circumstances
7. On claiming the prize, the winner shall discuss with Us what bookings for the birthday party they would like. We will be in charge of making the relevant bookings and payments using the budget in accordance with the terms set out herein.  Whilst We will try to accommodate the winner’s preferences, any final decisions regarding the organisation of the birthday party and allocation of the budget shall be subject to iQ’s sole discretion.   
8. Following the end of the Entry Period, We will select a winner via a random digitally automated prize draw.
9. We will contact the winner at the email address provided in their Entry Form to let them know they have won a prize. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of our email, then the winner forfeits the right to claim the prize and We will be entitled to issue the prize to a new winner selected. 
10. The prize is only applicable to You and is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered. 
11. This Competition is not open to employees of the IQ Group,
12. We must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, We will send the surname and county of the Prize winners to anyone who emails marketing@iqstudent.com during the Entry Period and within one (1) month after the end of the Entry Period. If You object to any or all of Your surname or county being published or made available, please contact Us at  marketing@iqstudent.com. In such circumstances, We must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
13. The decision of IQSA Services Limited regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
14. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a Prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
