UWE (University of West of England)

The University of West of England — or UWE for short — is ranked in the top 25 in England for graduate employability, with 96% of its graduates in employment or further study within six months of leaving. In 2018 they received a Teaching Excellence Framework Gold rating, and they received their highest student satisfaction rating ever (87%). They have over 600 courses on offer, spanning the arts, creative industries, health, science, business, law, environment and technology.
UWE is made up of several campuses across the Greater Bristol area, with over £300 million invested across them in recent times. Its city campus features the Bower Ashton Studios for creative and cultural studies, which hosts the annual graduate show. Creative courses are also housed at the Arnolfini building, directly above the vibrant public contemporary arts space. The Pervasive Media Studio is housed at the iconic Watershed film and digital media hub, where courses focusing on mobile and wireless technology are taught. The Spike Island site is where you’ll find their Fine Arts students. Elsewhere you’ll find the largest robotics lab in the UK and beautiful listed buildings at their sites outside of town.
Our iQ Bristol building is within a 15-minute cycle or 20-minute bus ride of most of the city campus buildings, with direct bus routes to some of UWE’s out-of-town campuses. In keeping with the city’s musical heritage, it features a music practice room and also has an onsite gym, study space, dining space and a games room.
