Bradford was named the world’s first UNESCO City of Film due to its rich film heritage and inspiring locations. Having provided backdrops for everyone from the BBC to Netflix, the city is steeped in film history. It’s also home to the National Media Museum — the UK’s only museum dedicated to film, TV and media.

Priding itself on social inclusion, the University of Bradford educates 10,000 students, and was named the Greenest University in the UK for two years running. A couple of minutes away, Bradford College boasts art legend David Hockney among its most famous alumni.

"The endless possibilities of Yorkshire’s scenery are on Bradford’s doorstep"

Bradford was also crowned the ‘Curry Capital of Britain’ on multiple occasions – part of the reason that Yorkshire has been named one of Lonely Planet’s top travel destinations.

Our modern student accommodation Arkwright House continues Bradford’s filmic theme with its onsite cinema. It’s in a great spot, located a 2-minute walk from campus and just round the corner from the Media Museum.
