Festivals in Manchester 2015 & Student Festival Essentials

Festivals in Salford 2015
Calling all students at iQ Salford... it's time to start planning for summer. Manchester has a number of big festivals and some hidden gems on this year!

Festival Must Haves

We hope you get to visit at least one of these great music festivals and have lots of fun. Just remember to keep well hydrated and don't forget to take these festival essentials with you;
  • Pocket tissues/ wet wipes. For those moments when you're dancing so much that the mud is splashing up to your face. Stay fresh!
  • Wellies! Dependant on the weather, wellies are a must. The slightest bit of rain can cause the fields to be really muddy! You can still shuffle and dance well in your wellies.
  • A packable poncho. For those moments when the sun hides away. Hopefully this won’t be needed, however it is there for a rainy day.
  • Mobile Phone. Keep you phone fully charged right before you head out to the festival. Some of the larger festivals provide portable phone-charging booths for you to keep fully charged and continue with the festival selfies for the rest of the day and night! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #iQstudents when you are using social media ...you could pop up on our main pages (and there might even be some special treats for the best iQ student festival selfies!)
  • Sun Cream. Even if you don't think it's hot, it's always surprising how burnt people can get at festivals. Keep topped up throughout the day... It is a MUST!! You will thank us later.
  • Enough cash in a safe place. There may be cash machines at the festivals, but they may be far away. Get your cash out before you go and keep it safe to avoid those long journeys across each side of the festival.

Now that you know what to take with you, where are you going to go?
