Nottingham is a proper student city – they make up almost 20% of the local population during term-time. With great clubs and live music venues as well as excellent pubs and bars, there is no shortage of options for nights out.

Culturally, Nottingham’s connection with Robin Hood is one reason for its status as a UNESCO City of Literature, while Nottingham Castle delivers 17th-century beauty and a renowned art gallery. Sport is also a big deal in the city thanks to Nottingham Forest and Notts County football clubs, the National Ice Centre and Trent Bridge international cricket ground.
