Setting a new benchmark for the student experience
The opening of our new development, Elgin Place, in Summer 2017 saw iQ’s first entry into the vibrant city of Glasgow, a student rich city which houses over 56,000 full-time students.
Going for growth in Russell Group cities
In June 2017, iQ acquired Newtown House and Newland House in Nottingham, two student accommodation properties, located at the heart of this 52,000 full-time student city.
Delivering outstanding returns through our continued investment
In Summer 2017, we embarked on the first of a two-part refurbishment of our iQ Bristol property located in the heart of this bustling city, where 40,000 full-time students have chosen to study. The property is situated within half a mile of the University of Bristol, a member of the Russell Group.
Originally designed by William Curtis Green R.A., an English architect and water colourist, as a bespoke property for The Cambridge University Press, the building at 200 Euston Road was previously used by the Wellcome Trust as a library and storage facility.
The challenge at iQ Kingston was to take a product that was coming to the end of its lifecycle and transform it into a building that catered to the needs of the University and its students, creating a safe, modern and quality environment that stood apart from competitors.
In the spring of 2015, we embarked on the ambitious refurbishment of Wilmslow Park, a purpose built student accommodation consisting of 1,002 rooms, putting students at the heart of its redevelopment and creating an excellent environment for students to live in.
