Edinburgh Napier University

Taking its name from Scottish mathematician John Napier, this public university is based across three main campuses in Edinburgh. It caters to nearly 20,000 students and was named the top university in the UK for adding value to students by The Guardian, as well as being recognised in the top 5% of universities worldwide.

Nearly half of its students are from outside the UK, making it a truly diverse place to study. It has twice been awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize for its work in sustainable development and construction and was named ‘Top Scottish Modern University for Marketing’ by the Complete University Guide 2016. Edinburgh Napier is also the co-founder of Screen Academy Scotland, a centre of excellence for training in the film industry.

Its three main campus buildings range from striking modern architecture through to more historical Edinburgh architecture, reflecting both the city’s history and its forward-thinking approach.

Napier’s campus is just 15 minutes from our Grove and Fountainbridge buildings by bus, which are both close to the city centre. Features across them include onsite laundry, a gym, multiple social spaces and secure bike storage.
