Heriot-Watt University

With additional campuses in the Scottish Borders, Orkney, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia, Heriot-Watt is a truly global institution which was ranked No.1 in Scotland for research impact. Set amongst 380 acres of parkland, it is built on a beautiful site with lochs and all.

Originally founded in 1821 as the world's first mechanics' institute, it was awarded International University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide in 2018. It’s also lauded for the fact that 80% of those who study there are placed in graduate-level jobs or further study within six months of leaving.

The main campus has benefited from over £128m of investment in recent years to maintain its reputation as a cutting-edge educational institution. Plans include a £65m film studio and a £19m innovation building.
