Royal Holloway’s main campus is in Egham, Surrey, based in 135 acres of stunning landscape. It features spectacular architecture and beautiful grounds and is just a 41-minute train ride from Waterloo and seven miles from Heathrow. Its central London campus is in Bedford Square, right in the middle of London.
Originally (officially) opened in 1886 by Queen Victoria as an all-women’s college, the Egham campus is centred around the immense Grade I listed Founder’s Building — which was modelled on France’s Château de Chambord. These days it includes a bar and games venue designed by the creators of Ministry of Sound, a bank and a student radio station. These contrast strikingly with historical elements like a beautiful arboretum and a breathtaking chapel.
Our Paris Gardens building is situated right by Waterloo Station, where the train to Egham departs from, while our Bloomsbury building is round the corner from their central London campus.
