The Podium
Just a 1-minute walk from Royal Holloway University, The Podium offers a wide range of student rooms, studios and apartments. Inside, you'll be able to enjoy facilities including a games room and study areas.
The wide choice of accommodation at The Podium includes modern, self-contained studios with their own kitchenette and en suite shower room, as well as apartments suitable for sharing with a friend. Our en suite rooms have the use of kitchens and living areas shared with other students, and are available in various sizes.
All residents can make use of our social and study areas. There is also free WiFi onsite, as well as useful amenities like bike storage and a laundry room.
Egham town centre is within a 10-minute walk of The Podium, with a good range of supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and other amenities. The town is well connected to London with direct trains to London Waterloo, a journey of around 40 minutes. Heathrow Airport is also accessible by bus in around half an hour.
Around the local area, you can enjoy attractions such as the Thorpe Park theme park, Windsor Castle and Windsor Great Park.

When are my rent instalments due?
We spread rent across the year to help with budgeting. Most residents pay in four instalments - on 1st August, late September, mid‑January and mid‑April.
If you’re staying at an iQ building in Scotland, you can choose to pay monthly. These payments are on 1st August and then on the 7th of each month from October onwards, depending on your contract length.
If you booked through your university, your dates might be different.
You’ll find your full schedule in your tenancy agreement and in the iQ app.
If anything’s unclear, your building team will happily help.
How do I book?
Booking your room at iQ is quick and simple. Just choose your room online, pay your booking fee and sign your tenancy agreement digitally. If you want to pay in instalments, you’ll need to add details for a guarantor.
If you'd prefer to speak to someone, you’re welcome to call the building you’re interested in or drop in for a chat. We’re here to help.
What do I need to bring?
You can see what’s included in your room on the room details page for your iQ site. Among the things you will need, or may want, to bring are bedding, towels, toiletries, toilet paper, basic kitchen equipment, hangers, and a computer or laptop. You can also purchase all your essentials from our partner Uni Kit Out.
