Strathclyde University

Certified as the UK’s first technical university in 1964, Strathclyde is now the third-largest uni in Scotland with 23,000 students from over 100 countries. Located in the centre of vibrant Glasgow, Times Higher Education have given it seven awards in the last seven years — including University of the Year in 2012 and Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2013. It also ranked it in the UK’s top 20 for research, while The Economist ranked it 72nd in the world of MBA studies in 2017.

Centred around the huge Royal College building, its campus also features the Andersonian Library which has places for 2,000 readers, the Grade B listed Architecture Building and the brand new Centre for Sports, Health and Wellbeing. Its £89 million Technology and Innovation Centre opened in 2015, with space for over 1200 workers from a range of disciplines. £650 million is being invested in redeveloping and improving their facilities across the current decade.

Our Elgin Place building is an 18-minute straight walk along Cathedral Street from their main campus. It gives a nod to the nightclub that once stood on its site with a DJ space, and also features an onsite gym, a creative studio, study and quiet areas, a pool table, great social spaces and iPad bouncepads.
