THE BUILDING

Altus House

Towering over Leeds city centre, this 37-storey building is just a short walk from the city’s universities campuses, with Leeds Beckett and the University of Leeds within a 10-minute walk.

Inside, you’ll find a huge choice of en suite rooms ranging between 13-17 sq m (larger accessible rooms available) and self-contained studio accommodation of up to 22 sq m, along with some of the best facilities in town. A roof terrace, cinema, private dining room and a retro arcade and games room add plenty of enjoyment to student life.

Great for working out or yoga, the onsite fitness studio gives you free-to-use gym facilities onsite, while the multi-purpose lounge and social areas are ideal for downtime between lectures.

With the Merrion Centre shopping mall and the First Direct Arena just a few minutes away, Altus House is well placed for Leeds’ universities too. The University of Leeds (10 mins), Leeds Beckett University (5 mins) and Leeds Arts University (14 mins) are all close by, and easily accessible on foot.

FAQs

Need some help?

We think we’ve covered most things here, but if you have a question we haven’t answered, email us at hello@iqstudent.com

When are my rent instalments due?

We spread rent across the year to help with budgeting. Most residents pay in four instalments - on 1st August, late September, mid‑January and mid‑April.

If you’re staying at an iQ building in Scotland, you can choose to pay monthly. These payments are on 1st August and then on the 7th of each month from October onwards, depending on your contract length.

If you booked through your university, your dates might be different.
You’ll find your full schedule in your tenancy agreement and in the iQ app.
If anything’s unclear, your building team will happily help.

How do I book?

Booking your room at iQ is quick and simple. Just choose your room online, pay your booking fee and sign your tenancy agreement digitally. If you want to pay in instalments, you’ll need to add details for a guarantor.

If you'd prefer to speak to someone, you’re welcome to call the building you’re interested in or drop in for a chat. We’re here to help.

What do I need to bring?

You can see what’s included in your room on the room details page for your iQ site. Among the things you will need, or may want, to bring are bedding, towels, toiletries, toilet paper, basic kitchen equipment, hangers, and a computer or laptop. You can also purchase all your essentials from our partner Uni Kit Out.

We have compiled a checklist of things you may want to bring - or buy when you arrive.
