Leeds Trinity University

Based in Horsforth to the north west of Leeds city centre, Leeds Trinity University has its roots in the 1960s, when it was established as a Catholic teacher training facility. It has since expanded to offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines. The university retains its Christian ethos but provides a welcoming study environment to students of all faiths and none.

Leeds Trinity was ranked in the top 15 universities in the UK for teaching quality and student experience, in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. It also scored 87% for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2018.

Areas of study at Leeds Trinity include Business, Health & Nutrition, English, Journalism and Media. The university counts several journalists and TV and radio presenters among its alumni, including Shaun Keaveny, Harpreet Kaur and Natalie Sawyer, while many students have built successful careers in production. Other disciplines such as Psychology and Sports have seen many more successes – the university campus is equipped with excellent fitness facilities and offers a huge range of sports as part of its social programme.

Postgraduate students at the university can further their education with an MBA, an MA in Education or Journalism, or a diploma in Victorian Studies – just a selection of the diverse qualifications offered by Leeds Trinity at this level.
