University of Lincoln

Lincoln University’s progression in recent years has been spectacular, with The Times Good University Guide saying it represented “the most dramatic transformation of a university in recent times.”

It rose 60 places up their rankings in the space of four years and is ranked 22nd in the UK by The Guardian University Guide in 2019. It has been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework thanks to the ‘consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes’ for its students. It has also received awards for its work in providing its students with opportunities for training and learning in industry.

With a picturesque waterside location in the city centre, it has a brilliant mix of repurposed buildings and new-builds. Its library is housed in a former industrial railway goods warehouse — the conversion and regeneration of which has been given multiple awards. The 2,000-capacity Engine Shed is the region’s biggest music venue and its three spaces are controlled by the student union. It also encompasses a vast sports hall, and the acclaimed Lincoln Performing Arts Centre. Just down the road you’ll find the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park, home to university laboratories and research facilities.
