Part of the University of the Arts London, with its base in Elephant and Castle, London College of Communication develops the critical and creative talents of an international student community. Its graduates have gone on to forge careers in a range of disciplines, and include journalists, broadcasters, designers, photographers and award-winning filmmakers.
LCC’s Design School encourages innovative and experimental approaches to the subject, and offers a wide range of courses leading to BA and MA qualifications. Graphic Branding and Identity, Design Management and Cultures, and Illustration and Visual Media, are among the areas of study. The school’s extensive facilities offer experience with digital, audio-visual and 3D technologies, as well as traditional practices such as bookbinding and printmaking.
The Screen School covers film, television and digital arts including virtual reality and games design, while the Media School is the home of advertising, photography, journalism and public relations, among other related disciplines. The LCC has seen many well-known names pass through its doors over the years: News presenters Louise Minchin, Charlotte Hawkins and Maryam Moshiri, advertising executive Charles Saatchi, playwright Kwame Kwei-Armah and Head of BBC News Helen Boaden are just some of its former students.
Among 13 iQ properties in the capital, our Bankside and Paris Gardens sites lie a few minutes’ walk from the River Thames and London Blackfriars Station, with direct train links to Elephant and Castle in around four minutes. You will find a selection of social and study spaces at our London sites, along with amenities including free WiFi, laundry facilities and bike storage.
