University of Roehampton

The University of Roehampton is situated in south west London and its website makes the bold claim that it has the most beautiful campus in the capital. You’d be hard pressed to find prettier, with its 54 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland. It’s incredibly tranquil, but still just 30 minutes from central London.

Comprised of what were originally four separate colleges, Roehampton features a new £35m library (opened in 2017) and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. It also has several top-class specialist teaching and research facilities, including labs for biomechanics, physiology and sport and exercise psychology. In recent years it has been named London’s top university to study Education and English, while its Dance department was also recently the highest rated for research in the whole of the UK. The National Tennis Centre is part of the main campus and is available for students to use.

The immense 2500 deer-filled acres of Richmond Park are right around the corner, Kew Gardens is a short journey away and Fulham football club is just up the road. Our Hammersmith building is 20 minutes door-to-door from the main campus and has a cinema room for cosy film and gaming sessions.
