A major UK centre for further education with over 33,000 students, Manchester Met is the second most-applied to uni in the UK. Notable alumni include Steve Coogan, DJ Semtex, John Bishop and Peter Saville. Home to the Manchester School of Art, the Manchester School of Theatre, as well as the Manchester School of Architecture, it’s a powerhouse of creativity.
Over £350 million has been spent upgrading its campus over the last decade, with some impressive architecture including the new Business School with its solar-powered heating and rainwater collection. In 2015 their student union moved to a swish new building on Higher Cambridge Street. Manchester Met also purchased historic pub The Salutation in 2011, spending £235,000 on restoring it to its former glory for students and the public alike to enjoy.
With dozens of partnerships with other educational institutions across the world from Europe to Hong Kong to the USA, it also provides excellent opportunities for overseas studies as part of many of its courses.
All four of our buildings in Manchester are 13-20 minutes’ walk from Manchester Met, with Warehouse One Two, Lambert and Fairfield House, Wilmslow Park and Kerria Apartments all including onsite gyms and laundries. Other features across them include cinemas, karaoke and games rooms, parking spaces and secure bike storage.
