Residents living at any of the above sites are still able to refer their friends, but the friend they are referring will need to book at a participating site only.

2) Find your resident ID in the iQ resident portal or via the app
3) Give your friends your ID and referral code - REFER300
4) Your friend must add the referral code when booking, plus your ID and full name.
5) Keep referring – the more friends you refer the more money you’ll get!
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to have already booked with iQ to refer friends?
Yes, you’ll need a resident ID number to complete any referrals.
Who can refer friends?
Any current iQ resident, or anyone who has booked to live with iQ for the forthcoming academic year, can refer friends.
Can I refer a friend to a different property to the one I‘ve booked?
You can refer friends at most of our iQ properties, however, a few of our sites have been excluded from the offer, see our T&Cs for more information. Your friend just needs to make sure they enter the referral code plus your full name and ID when booking.
How will I receive cashback?
You’ll receive your cashback on a pre-paid Visa debit card. This can be used at most shops and restaurants that accept Visa. Cards are valid for one year from the date of issue.
When will I receive cashback?
You’ll receive your cashback card by 31st Dec 2023. Once you receive an email confirming that your card has been issued, you should then receive your card within 7-10 business days.
I was referred by someone but I don’t have their resident ID. Can I add this later?
You must enter the resident ID at the time of booking, you cannot add it at a later date.
Do I need to pay my booking fee before I invite my friends?
You’ll need to pay whatever booking fee is needed to secure your own room. You’ll then receive a resident ID which you’ll need to give to the friends you refer.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No, but all referrals must be made before 31st December 2023.
Can I apply a referral offer to an existing booking?
No, if a booking has been made and a referral promo code was not entered, we can't add this retrospectively.
