Scotland’s largest technical and professionals skills college, based in Glasgow city centre, City of Glasgow College was formed in 2010, a merger of Central College Glasgow, Glasgow Metropolitan College, and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. It offers a range of Higher National Qualifications, including many in creative disciplines, and professional qualifications for those seeking work in the hospitality and nautical industries.
Its degree courses lead to BA qualifications in areas such as Television, Photography and Contemporary Art Practice. Onsite facilities at its architecturally impressive campus – such as television and radio studios, kitchens, beauty salons and even a ship simulator and engine room – add a practical element to their courses. The college also offers Scotland’s first women-only engineering course.
