Sheffield Hallam University

With over 30,000 students, Sheffield Hallam University is the 11th biggest in the UK. Spread over two campuses in the city, it has seen over £100 million of investment in the last five years alone to create world-class facilities. Research Excellence Framework named it as one of the Top 5 universities in the UK for research, and it has excellent ties with businesses for placements.

Recently opened spaces include the Sheffield Institute of Arts new £9 million home in the striking former Head Post Office building and the stunning £27 million Heart of the Campus building, which has won multiple awards for its architecture. The planned £14 million Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre is set to be the world’s most advanced research and development centre for physical activity.

It has an excellent career advice service, with a 95% student satisfaction rate and ties to over 1,000 organisations for placements, from the BBC to Rolls Royce. Its partnership with Sony created the world’s largest PlayStation teaching lab on campus, where computing students create games using PS4 development kits.

Our Sheffield buildings Century Square, Fenton House, Steel and Brocco are all within 10-20 minutes walk of the main Sheffield Hallam campus and 15-25 minutes from its secondary Collegiate Crescent campus. Features across these great buildings include a gym, a cinema room, laundries, secure bike storage and study rooms, with all featuring great social spaces.
