University of Westminster

Westminster has a particularly strong reputation for the Media & Communications course, ranked 3rd-best in the UK in 2017 by QS. They also ranked 6th for Art & Design in the UK in the Complete University Guide in 2014. Their research output is ranked in the global top 40, and they also have an outpost in Uzbekistan.

They pride themselves on putting employability first. Students have opportunities arranged by the university for placements, internships, overseas study programmes, volunteering and mentoring programmes. Their Talent Bank service also lists all part-time and temporary work across the campuses and other local employers, helping their students to earn while they study.

Their campus also includes the fantastic Regent Street Cinema — ‘the birthplace of British cinema’ — where the first moving pictures in the UK were shown. Student enterprises include Smoke TV, Smoke magazine and the award-winning Smoke Radio.

Our Bloomsbury building is well-located for their Central London campuses,
Raffles House is 26 minutes away on the bus from their School of Media, Arts and Design in Harrow.
