Bangor is nestled between Snowdonia and the Menai Straits, making it an incredible base to enjoy the surrounding landscapes and incredible scenery. This coastal city, although one of the smallest in the United Kingdom, is the oldest in Wales and features beautiful architecture including the picturesque Bangor Cathedral. Its small size means that over half of the population are students, so you're sure to make a few friends while you're there.

There's plenty to see and do in Bangor, whether that's going for a walk in the surrounding countryside, heading to the pier, or shopping down the high street. At Ty Willis, you'll be right at the heart of it, located on the high street itself and only a 5 minute walk to Bangor Cathedral, 20 minutes to the pier and only a 14 minute walk to Bangor University. If you want to explore a big city, Liverpool is only a 2 hour train journey and Manchester is 2 and a half hours away.
