University College Birmingham (UCB)

Based in the centre of Birmingham, University College Birmingham is home to around 7,500 students. The brand new McIntyre House facility offers students at UCB modern facilities and is situated very close to the city centre, just a short walk from the bars and restaurants of Broad Street and the huge array of shops at the Bullring.

How to find University College Birmingham from Broderick House

With Broderick House located under a mile away from uni, it isn't hard to see why many UCB students choose to live with us. McIntyre House is University College Birmingham's new teaching centre which can accommodate 2500 students - this opened in 2014. The walk to University College Birmingham will either take you along the canal, or up Bishopsgate Street and Broad Street. Either way, the journey should take you less than twenty minutes.

If you want to travel by bus, walk to the end of Broad Street and catch one of the many bus options up to Great Charles Street Queensway, just a couple of minutes walk from UCB. Bus route options include numbers 9, 22, 23, 23A, 24, 29, 29A, 120, 127, 128, 129, 140, 141. Alternatively, cycling enthusiasts can cycle to uni in less than ten minutes - a super convenient option as you can store your bike on-site in our secure cycle storage.
