University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham is a member of the prestigious Sutton Trust 13, an elite group of UK universities placed highest based on their average rankings of surveys by The Times, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times and The Daily Telegraph. It was ranked at No. 8 in QS’ Graduate Employability Rankings in 2018 and was named the 7th most-targeted uni by the UK’s top employers in the 2017 High Fliers survey. It has over 32,000 people studying at it with an additional 10,000 at its international campuses in Malaysia and China.

Its alumni includes three Nobel Prize winners and a Turner Prize winner. A huge range of notable figures have studied there, from creative types like D.H. Lawrence and London Grammar through to titans of business like Simon Nixon, founder of MoneySupermarket.com. Over the years it has attracted guest lecturers including Mahatma Gandhi and Albert Einstein, whose lecture blackboard is on display to this day in the Physics department.

There’s a lot of extra-curricular activity going on there too, with 190 societies, a student radio station, newspaper and theatre. It also has the largest student-run RAG (Raise and Give) society in the world outside of the US, having previously raised a record £1.61 million in a single year.

Our Newton & Newland House building is handily located near the i4 bus route to the campus, taking you from door-to-door in 15 minutes. Exchange is under 30 minutes away by bus, and features across the two buildings include a gym, social hubs, TVs in shared kitchens and secure bike storage.
