The transition from living at home to student accommodation can be intimidating - especially if you need to start paying your own bills.
At iQ, you benefit from an all-inclusive bills package. This means you won’t have to worry too much about when and how much to pay each month when living with us.
So, what does ‘all-inclusive’ mean in terms of your bills?
This basically means all your bills and core amenities are included in your price-per-week rent. Utilities such as water, electricity, council tax, internet and gas are just some of the bills included in the rent total amount.
This is different from having to pay each bill separately if you rent independently or from having to calculate and split bills among flatmates.
Enjoy peace of mind knowing the majority of your bills are included in your iQ rent. Our all-inclusive bills package covers the following amenities in this list:
Plus, contents insurance is also included in the bills package, meaning you don’t have to worry about covering the cost of your belongings in case something happens to them (but don’t forget to register with Endsleigh to make sure you’re covered).
Your price-per-week rent includes all your bills, so you’ll pay the amount as one collective payment. This way there’s no need to fuss over multiple payment dates or direct debits.
Besides the convenience of not having to calculate separate bills each month, there are a few other benefits of an all-inclusive bills package.
iQ offers all-inclusive bills at an agreed rent price, so you don’t have to worry about unexpectedly paying more down the line. What you sign up for is what you get. Learn more about money saving tips for students here.

These expenses usually consist of rent, bills and groceries. Check out cost of living for students here.
No, if you choose the iQ all-inclusive bills package, then you won’t have to set up your own bills. As long as you pay your monthly rent on time, we’ll handle the rest.
Full-time students are exempt from paying Council Tax, therefore, you won’t have to worry about registering and paying for Council Tax. You might need to send your accommodation provider proof of your university registration to make sure you don’t pay. On the other hand, if you decide to live in private accommodation, then you will have to register and pay Council Tax.
Our iQ accommodation locations include TV areas accessible to all students, which are covered by a TV licence. If you decide to bring your own TV, then you’ll have to pay for your own TV licence.
