Meet the Team: iQ Pavilions, Lincoln

iQ life Lincoln

The largest iQ property in the country, Pavilions (or ‘Pavs’ as it’s known by many) is just moments away from the University of Lincoln – and its sister property, Hayes Wharf, lies down on the waterside in the city centre. It takes quite a crew to keep those two running, so let’s Meet the Team and see what they get up to both at work and outside.

Hey, it’s Rosie!

My name is Rosie and I am a Customer Service Advisor at Pavilions and Hayes Wharf.

What makes Pavilions a special place to live?

We have a shop and café on site and we’re based in the centre of the university campus so we are in a prime location.

What’s your best memory of the last year at iQ?

The dinner we hosted before the residents went home for the holidays. It was great to see so many residents enjoying themselves and it gave us the chance to interact with them more.

What is your favourite place to go in Lincoln?

The Brayford is a lovely place to go as it has a variety of restaurants to eat in and bars to drink in. It also looks out on to the water which is beautiful in the summer.

What’s the nicest thing a resident has said to you?

After helping a potential resident find their perfect room by showing them around the site, they were extremely grateful for all the help and advice I had given them. They also said how my kind nature, alongside all the benefits of our site, made them look forward to living at Pavilions next year.

What’s your favourite band/ TV show/ movie?

Music plays a massive part in my life so I enjoy almost everything. Favourite TV show at the minute is Hypothetical on Dave as I love James Acaster. I also enjoy all the Harry Potter films – I’m a big wizarding world fan.

Any interesting facts about yourself?

I share the same name with my step-mum’s dog which can get confusing when I hear ‘Rosie, put it down’.

Lauren

Hey, it’s Lauren!

I’m Lauren, Customer Service Advisor at Pavilions and Hayes Wharf, Lincoln.

What makes Pavilions a special place to live?

Even though we have the largest iQ site, we always manage to make it personal for our residents and make their time living here a memorable one.

What’s your best memory of the last year at iQ?

Putting on a Christmas dinner for all the residents, a proper team effort!

What is your favourite place to go in Lincoln?

The Brayford, as there are lots of good places to eat and the cinema and town within walking distance.

What’s the nicest thing a resident has said to you?

One person emailed after an open day stating that I was the best person for the job and that I played a big part in their decision to live here.

Where is the best place you have travelled to recently?

Not recently, but I am going inter-railing for two weeks in Europe in May which I’m really looking forward to!

If you could give your younger self some advice about student life, what would it be?

It’s okay to stay in sometimes and save some money!

Steep Hill – I love all the different little shops and the view from the top is amazing.

What’s the nicest thing a resident has said to you?

I received a Christmas card from one of the students who thanked me for making Pavs feel like home.

What’s your favourite band/ TV show/ movie?
