How to connect to WiFi

Everyone needs to connect to wifi when they’re at uni. Whether it’s getting your work done, streaming your fave shows, doing some online shopping or using the iQ app, it’s essential to be connected. That’s why at iQ student accommodation wifi - including unlimited uploads and downloads - is available throughout every building at no extra cost.

Most of our sites deliver wifi at a maximum speed of 100Mb/s and you can register up to five devices on the system. You can check your internet speed using M-Lab's Speed Test. There’s also wired internet access in most properties if you’d prefer to connect using a cable.

We partner with Ask4 or Glide (Cablecom) to provide the fastest internet services within our properties.

Step by step to connect to wifi at iQ student accommodation

Depending on your device, connecting to the wifi should be pretty straightforward. Here’s how to connect at our student accommodation:

• Open your device's settings app.
• Tap network & internet
• Select internet
• At the bottom of the list, tap Add network. You may need to enter the network name (SSID) and security details. 
• Tap save
