What does it do?

Societies

The Students’ Union offers over 300 student groups and 70 sports societies. From sports, including Taekwondo, Lacrosse, and Dodgeball, to societies such as Impact (the student magazine), Welsh, and even a Taylor Swift society, there are plenty of opportunities for you to find your people.

Representatives

The UoNSU exists for students. If there are any issues a current student has with the university, academic representatives will speak to the university for or with you. However, your representation goes beyond your academics. There are also people who oversee the democratic governance of the SU itself so that it always remains fair for the students.

Advice and Support

The UoNSU has many professionals in different areas that affect students, ready to give free advice to anyone who needs it. Whether you have money worries, courseload management issues, or need advice on student accommodation, there is someone who can help. They can talk through your issues with you or even help represent you. On top of this, there are mental health professionals to support your health and wellbeing. You can also speak to an advisor if you or someone you know has witnessed an incident but need help figuring out what to do. They are excellent at helping to plan the next steps before making a formal report.

These are just some fantastic services offered at the University of Nottingham Students' Union. For more information, visit their website or pay them a visit in person.
