iQ is home to a large international student community – more than 15,000 of our 28,000+ residents have come to live with us from overseas. And that means we’ve learnt a thing or two over the years about their requirements and where they may need a little extra help.
We know that moving to a new city can be daunting, so moving to a new country is a whole new level of challenge. If that’s what you’re about to do, don’t worry. Our teams are ready to help you with anything you may need to know, both before and after you join us. Just give them a call or drop them an email with any queries about your accommodation, contracts or even getting around your new city – it’s all part of making you feel right at home with us as soon as we can.
If you’re still considering whether to choose us as your accommodation provider, you can be assured that each iQ site is safe and secure, with CCTV, secure entry systems and a 24-hour staff presence.
On a practical level, you’ll have plenty of storage in your room, and – at most sites – there is secure storage for bikes too. Most sites offer easy-to-use laundry facilities, and you will also have free Wi-Fi access, so you can easily connect with your friends and family back home at any time.
Of course, one of the most exciting aspects of studying abroad is meeting new people, and iQ encourages plenty of interaction. We hold regular social events at our sites – from pizza and movie nights to quizzes and festive celebrations – and there will always be a great welcome party soon after you move in.
And if you would prefer to concentrate on your studies, our sites – all located close to universities – offer dedicated areas to do just that, as well as a personal workspace in your own room.
We would love to welcome you to the iQ community. To get a flavour of living with us, take a look at iQ Life, or check out our Reading Room.
"Overall iQ provides the best student experience possible for anyone who is staying far away from home. The staff and amenities available make sure that your student experience will not fall short of expectations."
