Leeds Beckett's origins go back to 1824. With 25,000 people catered for at its campuses in the city centre and student hotspot Headingley, it's a major part of the city. It has won awards for everything from sustainability to gay-friendly employment and holds a Gold Investors In People standard. With a student union whose live music venue has hosted the likes of the Sleaford Mods, Warpaint, The Horrors, The Kills, Kaiser Chiefs and Interpol, it’s also a great place to see some of the world’s biggest and best bands.

The central campus comprises of the site it has occupied for many years plus various other city buildings that it has acquired. These include Old Broadcasting House — the BBC's former home in Leeds — Cloth Hall Court, Electric Press and Old School Board, where school education was first established in the city. The Leeds Business School resides in the Rose Bowl, while Broadcasting Tower houses the faculty of Arts, Environment and Technology and the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design.

Headingley is always buzzing with student life and activity, and at Leeds Beckett's 40-acre campus in Beckett Park you'll find beautiful Grade II listed buildings. The adjacent Headingley Stadium includes teaching rooms and a hall that all belong to the university.

Our Marsden House building is a 5-minute cycle, 14-minute bus or 20-minute walk from their campus. It’s brilliantly kitted out with a cinema, a gym, PlayStation rooms, a garden and courtyard and parking spaces.
