Located just a 10-minute walk from the University of Plymouth and the Plymouth College of Art, Astor House offers a variety of modern student accommodation. This building is close to the sea and Plymouth Hoe, and an easy walk from the city centre. Astor House offers en suite rooms and self-contained studios, so you can choose the level of independence that's right for you. There are also various social and study spaces on site, including a sky lounge with great views of the city.
Regular social events take place on site, so you can get to know the international student community of Astor House. Free WiFi, laundry facilities and bike and surfboard storage are also available.
During the 2025/26 academic year, we will be carrying out building improvement works to both the interior and exterior of Astor House. Your comfort during your stay is important to us and we will be doing all we can to minimise disruption. Works will only take place between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with no noisy works during exam times. Our team are on site and on hand 24/7 to support you, and will keep you updated about the works.

How do I book?
Booking online is quick and easy – it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
If you prefer, you can call us (it’s best to call the site you want to book at direct), or visit us at your chosen iQ location. You will need to pay a non-refundable booking fee to secure your booking, which can be paid by debit or credit card.
What do I need to bring?
You can see what’s included in your room on the room details page for your iQ site. Among the things you will need, or may want, to bring are bedding, towels, toiletries, toilet paper, basic kitchen equipment, hangers, and a computer or laptop.
